2018 Talks



The talks at Bespoked have become a firmly established favourite of visitors to the show and this year’s line up promises not to disappoint. A brilliant and diverse line-up of people will be talking over the weekend. Come and join our panel to discuss how we can use framebuilding to address gender inequality within society. Meet the man who made Grayson Perry’s “Princess Freedom” bicycle and hear all about this unique project. Put your questions to our panels of mountain bike experts, custom carbon makers and industry leaders in the handmade bicycle world. 14.15 - Campagnolo 12 Speed Presentation with Q & A

 Massimo Guariso  and Graham Freestone King of Campagnolo will give a presentation and answer questions about the new 12 speed groupsets they have just unveiled.

   Cycles and rider Oscar Jenkinson’s talk about his recent trip  around Thailand.


11.30 - Steel is Real

   A panel of the top makers and designers discuss the current progression in hard core mountain bike   frames. The panel are:-

12.30 -   Divided - Film and Q&A

   Last year, Rickie Cotter and Lee Craigie rode the Tour Divide, a  2,745 mile self-supported mountain bike race from Canada to  Mexico. They filmed the whole, eventful journey and this film will be  shown followed by a Q&A with both athletes.


14.30 - Custom Carbon

   A panel Q & A with the world’s best custom carbon makers. The panel are:-

15.30 - Design and Development of the Robot Bike Co. R160

Robot Bike Co. partnered with some big engineering names in a story of David working with Goliath to develop the their first product, the R160. Drawing on experience of Formula 1 and the Aerospace industry; Robot Bike Co. set about using metal Additive Manufacturing (3-D Printing), proprietary carbon composite tubes and a DW6 suspension kinematic to build the world’s best full suspension mountain bike. Hear the story of how the R160 was developed to reach the highest levels of performance whilst also being customisable and available in 225,720 sizes.
